mParticle Raised $15M in a Series A Round

A New York City based startup mParticle has recently raised $15 million in a Series A round which was led by Social Capital (formerly known as The Social+Capital Partnership).

Though the funding was first revealed in a regulatory filing last month, it’s officially announced yesterday on the company blog. The startup is opening a San Francisco office and will continue to invest in product development.

mParticle launched as a solution to help mobile app-makers consolidate their data and  now the company has Airbnb, SeatGeek, Soulcycle and Spotify among its customers.

Now mParticle allows publishers to collect the necessary data without integrating a bunch of different SDKs — which is not just a pain, but can also cause issues with app performance. mParticle helps publishers “embrace this data opportunity, separate from the tools that consume that data.”
